A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer

This is/was the perfect band. Perfect music, perfect logo, perfect name. The fact that the actually put a darn Judy Grahn poem in one of their songs is just the sprinkles in the already icing, liquor and cherry-filled cake. Mesmerizing.

Know how Matthew Stewart talks about being in the right place and right time? This is the right place and the right time, no matter the decade you were born in. Closed hands, open arms, notjing you have ever thought will be worthless, after hearing it repeated from these guys. Their sadness saved us from anything worse than death.
